10 Venue Ideas for Kids Parties in Middle TN

Here in Middle Tennessee there are multiple party venues available to rent for large and small events. Finding the right venue for your special event can sometimes be daunting. We are often asked by parents, who don’t necessarily want to hold our science parties in their own home, if we know of affordable places for rent in Nashville and surrounding areas.

We’ve put together a list of locations where we have held our science parties over the 20 years of serving the Middle Tennessee community. We have also included locations suggested to us by parents and some we have found searching the internet. Most include a link for more information.

  1. One of the first places we recommend when asked are Picnic Shelters at Nashville Parks. These can be reserved ahead of time and are usually less than $50.

  2. Many times when an in-home party isn’t possible families look to their local churches for a room to rent. We found these two Middle TN churches  Cornerstone Nashville, First Baptist Hendersonville have pages dedicated to party rental information.

  3. Mr. Bond’s Science Guys hold science camps and clubs at Community Centers around Middle TN. These centers often have rooms to rent for birthday parties and special events too. Mt. Juliet,  Nashville, Gladeville and Wilson County all offer information about party rentals on their websites.

  4. Restaurants are another place you can often find a private dining room perfect for your birthday party guests and an entertainer plus they take care of the food! Here are just a few suggestions. Amerigo, Old Spaghetti Factory, The Rudder Hendersonville, Pfunky Griddle Berry Hill, Pucketts Columbia.  Along with restaurants we found a couple Coffee Shops that also rent out their spaces for parties and events.  Billy Goat Mt Juliet, Jam Coffee House Nashville

  5. Sometimes a traditional event space is the best option. These are a few reasonably priced options we’ve found around Middle Tennessee for anyone hoping to save a few dollars to put towards a party entertainer. Mulberry Mill Lebanon, Big East Fork Franklin, The Getalong East Nashville Tennessee State Parks Long Hunter, Northwest YMCA

  6. In researching affordable party venues I came across the idea of renting a room at a Performing Arts Studio. Groove Room Hermitage , Franklin School of Performing Arts, and Nashville Children’s Theatre all offer spaces for rent that we think are perfect for a birthday party.

  7. Every summer we create a special program for summer reading events at libraries across the south. Parents have also rented meeting rooms at the libraries for their science parties. Reach out to your local librarians and inquire. Nashville Public Libraries, Williamson County Library, Brentwood Library

  8. Schools are another place where we’ve held birthday parties. Why invite the whole class to your house when we can go to the classroom? We’ve done science parties at both public and private schools. Best place to start is by asking your child’s teacher!

  9. Someone on Facebook suggested renting a meeting room at a local hotel or if you have access to a community clubhouse those are great options too.

  10. Our final suggestion from searching Facebook is VFW Posts. Some VFWs rent out spaces for special events. You can find VFWs with Hall Rentals in Middle TN here.
