Halloween Slime

A slight twist on our Space Slime experiment!

Materials: 

• 2 Bowls

• 1 Stirrer

• Food coloring (optional)

• Halloween themed confetti/materials

• Bottle of clear glue

• Box of Borax

• Water

Now Follow These Steps:

First: Mix together the bottle (5oz) of clear glue and 1/2 cup room temp water.  

Second: If using food coloring, add 3 drops of food coloring to the glue mixture and stir till the desired color. Then add the Halloween themed confetti/materials. We recommend using bat-shaped confetti (because bats are cool!!!)

Next: Mix 1 cup of lukewarm water in a bowl with 1 teaspoon (or more if needed) of Borax in the bowl, stir well until the Borax settles at the bottom of the mixture.

Finally: Combine the glue solution and the borax solution and stir until it congeals (starts to solidify/become sticky)!

Here’s What’s Happening!

The Borax is causing a chemical reaction that makes the glue molecules stick together even tighter and form something called Polymers, which makes Slime!
